The Importance of Curb Appeal

Curb appeal is more than just a trendy term; it plays a vital role in your property’s attractiveness and market value. A well-kept exterior can make your property stand out in the neighborhood, potentially increasing its value by up to 20%.

One of the best ways to boost curb appeal is by maintaining your property in excellent condition. We all know how the typical British weather can affect your patio, driveway, gutters, and roofs, leading to moss, mold, and lichen growth. If left unchecked, these not only look unattractive but may also cause permanent damage that could cost you thousands of pounds.

Let me provide an example. Some might think it's acceptable to have moss accumulating on their roof over the years. Does this sound familiar? Moss on roof tiles can lead to various problems, mainly related to moisture retention and structural damage. It can cause rotting, lifting or displacement of tiles, and blocked gutters, ultimately compromising the roof's integrity and potentially resulting in leaks. Consider this: would you prefer to invest in regular roof maintenance using different cleaning methods, such as roof scraping, an alternative to low-pressure cleaning, followed by a treatment that prevents damaging organic growth for up to three years, or would you risk the leaks caused by moss, which might eventually require you to pay for a new roof costing tens of thousands of pounds?

What's your opinion on moss and organic buildup on your roof?

  • Leave it be, I'll sort problems out when they happen.

  • Treat the issue with a clean and treat every 3-5 years

  • Undecided, need more info (Message me on 07889 654 075)

Have a great week everyone!
